The Importance of Special Events

Special Events Can:

  • generate publicity
  • enhance the university's market position
  • strengthen positive relationships
  • recognize achievement and service
  • assist with fundraising efforts

Every event, regardless of its size, impacts the image of Widener University. 

Goals of the Special Events Coordinator

  • To plan events that adhere to certain standards, thus positioning Widener in the 
        best possible light
  • To showcase resources unique to Widener University
  • To build goodwill with Widener’s constituents 
  • To work with sponsoring departments to make sure that the events accomplish
        specific objectives
  • To maximize the use of the university's facilities
