Dr. Brigitte Valesey, Ph.D. is currently Assistant Provost for Assessment of Student Learning. Previously, she was Director of NCATE Accreditation for the Widener Center for Education. Dr. Valesey has served as a national examiner for the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1997. Also, she has successful experience as an educator, national presenter, curriculum developer, professional development director, and grant developer. She served as an advisor to government agencies and national organizations on science, technology, engineering and geography education projects. Dr. Valesey previously created and directed a teaching and learning center to implement a national standards-based curriculum model and directed a national consortium. She is a graduate of Ohio State University in Education.
