MSIS - Accounting Information Systems
Program Focus
Many traditional accounting functions are now embodied in accounting information systems that require a different combination of technical and financial expertise. The Accounting Information Systems (AIS) track is designed to enable the student to design, use and audit sophisticated accounting information systems and to act as a consultant to advise organizations as to the liabilities and risks associated with changing technoloty. Emerging career opportunities in technology related fields include electronic commerce, information technology auditing, business ystems consulting, information risk assessment, and web assurance. These areas are going to continue to be critical to the accounting professional in the future.
The Master of Science in Information Systems is designed to be a practical, applications oriented degree covering state-of-the-art information systems technology and how that technology is integrated into the organization. This program is relevant to professionals in the field wishing to gain further knowledge and advance their careers.
Admission Requirements
Holder's of a bachelor's degree are invited to apply to the MSIS-AIS program. Applicants must submit the following:
- Completed application along with nonrefundable application fee.
- Official transcripts from all Colleges/Universities attended.
- GMAT or GRE test scores. Note:Candidates holding a masters' degree or higher from an accredited institution are exempt from the GMAT requirement. Candidates who have passed all parts of the CPA examination are exempt from the GMAT requirement. (Other designations will be considered)
- Two letters of recommendation
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis.
